Haiti Update – October 27, 2021

First Trinity was able to send Israelson Izidor the $750 needed to pay for his truck repairs (the parts were also donated). This is Israelson’s main way of getting water filters, tarps, and lights around Haiti. See the pics below which are just so cool.Hard thing is that the gas shortage has become dire in Haiti–and there has been quite a bit of violence and vandalism at the gas stations. Gas today is 3,000 gds per gallon– according to Google,…

Haiti Update – October 21, 2021

A recent message from the Pastor at one of the two churches we support in Haiti after we gave them a financial donation: Greetings to you in the name of Jesus of Nazareth,I don’t have enough words to thank you for your blessing to the members of the First Evangelical Church Lutherienne in Les Cayes. Let me tell you that your help would help to buy rice, peas and oil for the most vulnerable members such as widows and old people…

Haiti Update – October 4, 2021

We will have missed some days of updates, but let me tell you, our ministry partners in Haiti are working hard every day to bring the love of Jesus, clean water and support for churches and pastors all around Southern Haiti.  Here are some recent highlights: On Saturday, September 26, Israelson, Hudsen, and Dilano (along with others) brought children’s ministry and Christian movie night to Brieux. The generator donated by Dave Shotwell helps make this possible The movie was “Overcomer”.  The…

Haiti Update – September 4, 2021

We continue to hear from Israelson, who is out on the road every day, visiting churches and pastors all over Haiti. Here are some things he’s shared: He has run out of Sawyer Water Filters and is hoping to get more from his source, Fritz. Please keep this in your prayers. He has been taking hygiene kits (see pic below) to these remote places. They have soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. They are purchasing their supplies from local vendors in Les…

Haiti Update – September 2, 2021

We continue to get updates from our friends in Haiti, which is just so wonderful. The news is hard at times, but it’s also so clear that the Isidor family is making a difference, one life at a time. We got an email from Yelline Isidor Gelin saying that Gregory and Stephane are in Florida and will be for a while. They are with Yelline and Israelson’s brother Ezechias and Genet, their dad, is with them. She mentioned that she…

Also traveling with them was Pastor Marky, who is a leader in the Lutheran Church and also in Haiti (he was the mayor of Jacmel at one time).…

Haiti Update – August 23, 2021

Some reminders, friends, that the very best we can do right now is PRAY, send funds, and ask what they need. It is important to let our Haitian friends lead the way in this disaster response. They know their community. They know the needs. God has them in place and is using them for His purposes. It is helpful in a time like this to notice what God IS doing, and not what we think He isn’t. Some specific prayer…
