First Trinity Lutheran Early Childhood Center
First Trinity’s accredited Early Childhood Center is an extension of the mission of First Trinity Lutheran Church. The preschool is a place where children and families are touched with the love and grace of God and faith is nurtured.

We view each child as a precious creation of God and practice educationally sound and developmentally appropriate principles which foster spiritual, mental, social, emotional and physical growth.

The Center is open to two, three and four year olds. Spiritual, academic and social instruction is stressed with an emphasis on “kindergarten readiness.” Our teachers are certified and follow the academic calendar of the Erie County school system.

Curriculum
Our program offers a Christian atmosphere in which the importance of every child's individuality and positive self image is stressed. Social growth and kindergarten readiness are perpetuated through developmentally appropriate activities related to readiness skills in basic subject areas.

Objectives
•  To teach simple Christian truths related to the child's experiences and level of development

•  To encourage the child in self-confidence, concern for others, cooperation in work and play, and a spirit of sharing.

•  To increase the child's skills in listening, self-discipline, conversation, creative self-expression, independent work and independent play.

•  To help parents learn skills which promote the growth and development of their child.
