Haiti Missions

Each year, our church sends a team of missionaries to Haiti. If you are interested in going with us, head to the Haiti Missions 2013 Trip Page. We partner with an orphanage and church there to care for those who are hurting. Find out more about supporting our missionaries if you’d like to help.

Haiti Brick Project

Donate money to buy bricks and materials to help rebuild the orphanage we support in Haiti. The old orphanage building was declared unsafe after the earthquake and they are looking to rebuild on their new property. Certificates are available to give as gifts. For more information about donating, visit the Information Center or contact the church office (716-835-2220).

Sheila’s Fund

Named after Sheila Guetti, the first child to be adopted from Haiti to our congregation, this fund helps families pay for the costs associated with adopting a child in Haiti and bringing them home to Buffalo. Our congregation has adopted six children in total. To donate, write a check to First Trinity Lutheran Church and mark “Sheila’s Fund” in the memo line. Checks can be sent to the church or placed in the offering plate.

Hearts 4 Haiti

All money that is donated to Hearts 4 Haiti goes towards rebuilding efforts at the orphanage and churches we sponsor. There was a lot of work to do before the earthquake and even more to do now. This money helps our brothers and sisters rebuild and reach others with the Gospel. To donate, write a check to First Trinity Lutheran Church and mark “Hearts 4 Haiti” in the memo line. Checks can be sent to the church or placed in the offering plate.
